  16.       (TUCSON, Ariz. -- September 30, 1991) -- Artisoft announced
  17. today that it has begun shipping its new LANtastic for Windows
  18. network utility which allows the LANtastic network to be run
  19. totally from within Microsoft(r) Windows(tm) 3.0. Priced at $299
  20. per network, it requires LANtastic(r) NOS 4.0 or higher (sold
  21. separately) to operate.

  23.       "LANtastic(r) for Windows(tm) was designed for those LANtastic
  24. users who prefer the Windows interface and operating environment,"
  25. said Jack Schoof, Artisoft President and CEO.

  27.       The LANtastic(r) for Windows(tm) network utility offers the
  28. same features as the DOS-version's NET and NET_MGR programs, but
  29. within the easy, graphical user interface of Microsoft Windows'
  30. pull-down menus, icons and on-line help. It also supports Dynamic
  31. Data Exchange (DDE) so that Windows applications can use LANtastic
  32. e-mail to exchange messages and transfer data. For example, with
  33. DDE, a user can create an Excel spreadsheet and send it to a remote
  34. user who will then be able to double-click on the file to open it
  35. in the application in which it was originally created.
